GYANINDRA KUMAR PRADHAN - Holds a Ph.D. in Mining Engineering from VNIT-India. Recipient of India's highest civilian award from Govt. of India, presented to Mining Engineers and Geo-scientists, known as 'National Geoscience Award' for the year 2012 also received the National Design Award, instituted by Institution of Engineers(India). This is in recognition of his contributions in the field of Mining Engineering. Served Indian Mining industry since 1980 till 2023. Since 2013 is Professor of Mining Engineering & Dean, Faculty of Engineering & Technology at AKS University, Satna, India. Traveled widely and author five books on mining and blasting. Authored over 150 scientific and technical papers. Trained in Japan on Energy Savings & Conservation. At AKS University he developed a Mining curriculum, lab facilities and made it a unique Mining Engineering Department in less than 8 years' time. He is also in the editorial team of The Indian Mining & Engineering Journal, published since 1961 from India. His area of interest has been rock fragmentation, mechanical cutting in surface mining, energy conservation in Mines.
